Spring has sprung which means summer is just around the corner! It’s time to dust off those swimsuits and start planning some fun in the sun. These water park picks are sure to get you ready for a day filled with sunblock and joy, so carve out some room to hit one (or all!) this summer!

1. Fun-Plex Waterpark & Rides | 7003 Q St. Omaha, NE 68117

   Your full day ticket purchase gets you into everything: unlimited waterpark, rides, and go-karts plus one round of mini-golf. If you don’t have all day, no problem! You can purchase twilight tickets that are valid after 4pm. If you really want to make a day of it, consider checking out their cabana rentals so you have a shady spot to store yourself and your stuff when you’re not taking in the attractions.

2. Papio Bay Aquatic Center | 815 E Halleck St. Papillion, NE 68046

   Enjoy the heated water throughout the park at Papio Bay! Admission gets you 5 acres of fun from swimming and waterslides to wading pools and sand volleyball. There is a little something for everyone, plus concessions when it’s time for a break. If you don’t have a full day to commit to outdoor fun, take advantage of the twilight prices after 5:30pm.

3. Floating Playground | Louisville State Recreation Area

   With a variety of challenging inflatables linked together, this floating obstacle course is situated on Lake #2 at the Louisville State Recreation Area. Try your hand at a climbing wall, the dome, or just see how fast you can get through the course without falling in! Participants must be 6 years of age or older, and be able to swim.

4. Family Aquatic Center | Eugene T. Mahoney State Park

   Mahoney State Park is a great destination if you’re looking for a day of outdoor fun, and the aquatic center is no exception! Enjoy water slides, a wave pool, a water playground and more. You will appreciate the sun deck when it’s time for a break, and the availability of concessions is a convenient perk.

5. City of Omaha Pools | Across the Omaha Metro

   The city of Omaha offers a variety of swimming pool options across Omaha and the surrounding areas. Many of these pools offer the basics, but if you take a closer look, you’ll find that some have a little more going on! Zorinsky boasts an entire water playground and speed slides, while a host of other pools come with smaller water slides, watering umbrellas, splash features and more! And an honorable mention to the plethora of spraygrounds and splash pads across town as well!
